emClient platform/W10 : periodic problem unable to send emails; incoming unaffected

Recently set up emClient platform on a new W10 laptop as being the nearest equivalent to WLM on a W7 laptop which I had used since 2011 without issue.  But I'm having to keep old laptop live due to a periodic and sometimes 48 hour problem with emClient outgoing emails not sending.  I try everything possible to get them to send but the issue annoyingly seems to resolve on its own so I am sure all my settings are correct and the problem is 'further down the line'.  Never ever had issue this with WLM in 9 years.  Also when recipients do eventually get my email, it is timed as being sent when it did actually go from my system and not the time it had on it when it was raised.  I notice the IMAP/SMTP settings in the talktalk set-up pages do not match what mine are set to but they have been working fine except for this occasional outgoing email problem.  This issue is beginning to get me down as I run a business and cannot keep going back to using an old W7 laptop which I am desperate to cease using.  I have been through the TT forum (nothing), the em Client help pages (nothing) and Googled for hours and all I can find it that thousands have similar problems but no-one comes up with a solution other than the ISP needs to sort known problems at their end.  A frequent reason given is antivirus - all I run is Windows Defender and I cannot believe that is the issue.  Can anyone enlighten me please?

Hi

 

I have an old tiscali.co.uk account that I can't access as I have forgotten the password. The password reset link is set to be sent to that email, so I obviously can't get in to reset.

 

How can change the password of this inaccessible account? I need to access it urgently for some historical documents.

 

Hope this makes sense. Hoping someone can assist asap. I have updated all my contact details in profile.

Are TalkTalk EVER going to fix this problem with authentication which keeps raising its ugly head time after time after time after time etc etc etc?

Log InPop Box and then Error Message Box stopping access to e-mails in Windows Live Mail

Hello, over the last few days the Log in pop up box has started to appear when I tried to get into Windows Live Mail. When I clicked OK it went away and I could access the e-mails. Today the pop up box won't go away and an error message also now appears. Part of it says ERR Internal Server Error and then gives the server error as Ox800CCC90. This was a problem some time ago and I am just wondering is anybody else is having this problem and is there a TalkTalk issue with the server?

Cant log in to email

Hi 

My son is unable to log in to his e mail account 

when he tries to change the password via forgot password it says Your password could not be reset at this time. Please try again later.

 

he hasn't used this password for donkey years if that's anything to do with it?

I have just had to change my password as I believe my email address has been hacked. Now when I try to log in I get this message.

 

An error occurred inside the server which prevented it from fulfilling the request. (LGI-0003)

 

Can anyone help.

Windows 10 Mail suddenly says it can't access my old Tiscali email account. I need the password.

If the password is now the problem, I can't update it because the password reset will be sent to the account I can't access.

 

Any ideas?


Some emails bouncing back from domain name email address

Summary: Some emails bounceback from email address diverted from domain

Details: For more than a decade I have used a service which diverts emails from my domain to Outlook without any problems. Then in January some friends got bounceback messages like this

fwd0.hosts.co.uk gave this error:
Remote server returned an error -> 550 Callout verification failed:;550 5.7.1 Unfortunately, messages from [85.233.160.22] weren't sent. Please;contact your Internet service provider since part of their network is on;our block list (S3140). You can also refer your provider to;http://mail.live.com/mail/troubleshooting.aspx#errors.;[VI1EUR04FT004.eop-eur04.prod.protection.outlook.com]

HMRC and Virgin Money got bouncebacks so this is serious matter for me. The domain adminstrator and Microsoft say nothing is wrong from their point of view - why is this happening when for so long my domain email worked fine?

Incoming= imap.tiscali.co.uk Port 993 Encryption SSL/TLS DONT tick Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA)
Outgoing= smtp.tiscali.co.uk Port 587 Encryption STARTTLS DONT tick Require logon using Secure Password Authentication (SPA) MUST tick- My outgoing (SMTP) server requires authentication and Use same settings as my incoming mail server.

 

Have changed to  talktalk   mail servers

 

Incoming mail.talktalk.net with same 993 SSL/TLS

outgoing smtp.talktalk.net with same 587 STARTTLS

'Not secure' in address bar

The 'not secure' message has started to appear recently.  I have noted a few other people worried abut this and followed the guidance in one answer to untick the 'allow preloading of external images' option.  It helped a little, but I still get the 'not secure'.  There is no other warning symbol and no https at that point.  it is unsettling in the modern world and I feel obliged to keep logging out and in again.  Is there nothing to be done to stop this?

apps.talktalk.co.uk Inbox webmail page slow

The email page is very very very slow and crashes my pc.

The problem started over a month ago just before my contract required renewal.

I renewed the contract and was sent the new D-Link-DSL-3782 Router.

The problem still persists and can take up to 1-2 hours to write a short email. Having to restart my pc and clean the cache, use Ccleaner to refresh the page. This is so infuriating and such poor service. Why us it only on the Webmail page?

Using PC/Windows7/Wifi/Firefox/Talktalk webmail and note in Task Manager that there are several Firefox process entries but only one page and browser open.

I have used this system so only want to test it using Wifi and Firefox. Using an Ethernet cable and chrome will not tell me why I have the problem.

Additionally, when I use the service status, it can say Technical error (but doesn't say what the error is)?

Please help, could this have anything to do with Software/Firmware for the D-Link-DSL-3782 though the problem began with the previous Router as well.

Unable to sync with email client

I always used to access my emails via the Blue mail email client but since 15th June this has stopped syncing with Talktalk. Having the same issue with the Gmail email client.

 

I have recently left Talktalk, is this the reason. I add that we can access our emails through the webmail service.

 

On an additional note, still waiting for the balance of my account to be refunded, been almost three months now, what's the average it takes to be refunded?

Onetel Mailzone issues

I have been trying for weeks now to get someone to help me with changing my onetel mail password, as my account was hacked.  25th May I was told this would be passed to the relevant people and I would hear back in 5 days.  Nothing. I've emailed again and again - no reply to any of my messages.  For weeks now I have been unable to access my account at all as it tells me either my username or password have been changed....clearly not by me as I don't have the ability to do this.  I'm posting on the community yet again in the hope someone will help get this sorted.

Hi

 

i cant seem to send an email from my homecall.coi.uk email address. I hit send and it just says 'UNABLE TO SEND MESSAGE'  it isn't the recipient addresses as i have tried several. Please help as i need to send an email urgently. I last sent one in May and that worked. Thanks

Access to email has stopped

Hi All,

 

On Thursday, I suddenly stopped recieving email.  I was not worried as sometimes I am unable to access the mail server for an hour or so.  However, this time, this persisted on my laptop, but not on mobile devices.  I use Outlook on my laptop, so I checked the settings.  After reviewing these, and compareing them to those posted on the TalkTalk site, I noticed some changes.  These I rectified, but to no avail.  Any suggestions?

Wanting to delete my Account

Hi, 

 

I am a former customer, that kept my email address, but when it was decided that those without a a broadband account with the company would be charged for the email account, I was happy to migrate my online presence to another account, and let the address be closed.

 

However, this has not happened, the account is still open, and I am unable to delete the account, or change access to it. This is bad enough, but I have noticed frequent activity that is definitely nothing to do with me, and I am disturbed that the rest of my online presence may be at risk. I have today for example discovered that my Instagram account  had been hijacked briefly. I manage to regain it, and have made it tighter.

 

I have requested - via a letter - for a right to erasure, however this has disturbed me, and considering my email was due to be deleted anyway, I would like to request - if possible - via the forum to do so, or if someone can point to any other way I can disable the account.

On 5th June I posted an article headed ‘Where is Gondola?’ in which I mentioned that the last posting from Gondola seemed to have been made on  31st May.

 

In my article, I suggested that following certain postings from Gondola, which I included in my posting, he might have gone to ‘pastures new’.

 

There has been NO comment made by Stephenf or any of the OCEs to my reference to Gondola ‘moving on’.

 

Since Gondola’s apparent departure, it is patently obvious that the Stephenf and the OCEs are struggling to respond to questions posed, particularly over the weekends.

 

It would appear from recent postings that TalkTalk customers submitting questions in which they seek assistance/help (that Gondola was so efficient at answering and solving) would appear to be getting more and more frustrated with the lack of help, viz ‘Andrea 651’, ‘Blodwynblod’ to name but two.

 

Other methods of obtaining help – telephoning customer support – would appear to be met with a certain amount scepticism in view of responses that are promised within 48 hours or 72 hours.

 

TalkTalk NEEDS the services of Gondola, so my question is this.

 

Will Gondola be returning to the Forum?
