Onetel Talk Talk Phone 0113 3184918

Hello all
I have had my onetel account details hacked.  I went through this forum and gave sensitive information to what I thought was a TalkTalk employee.  StephenF
I was told that my password change would be carried out.
One of my 3 email accounts has had its password change but I do not know this newpassword.

I have not been able to use my onetel email account for over a week because my password has been changed.

 

I found this telephone number for customer service   0113 318 4918 (Christine)

From the conversation with the TalkTalk representative I should be not be volunteering any information on this forum!!!!!!

Christine maintained you & for that matter TalkTalk are not able to suspend your account, but she did tell me to go onto Mailzone and change your password.  She was unaware that you are unable to do this-'wow'

Contact Ofcom now about this. 

I was told my concern was being passed up to the back office (Technical), I have absolutely no confidence in Talk Talk that this will be resolved.
Please do not be giving community managers or who ever on this forum your personal information.  The Talk Talk representative I spoke did not know about

PAYMENT FOR EMAIL SERVICE

I have read that today is the deadline to pay for my email account or risk losing it.  Is this the case as I cannot get to speak to anyone? (£5 per month)

on hold for 55 mins so far, 5th call to Talk talk today to try and speak to the right person.

DISGUSTED!!! keep being fobbed off from one dept to an other. nobody seems to want to help. booked a home move and Talk Talk have completely ballsed it up, despite telling me otherwise.

Now risk losing my number and have called up 5 times today but apparently no-one can help. now been on hold for 55 mins........absolutely terrible

How do you retrieve emails saved in Inbox sub-folders on after email account "disappeared" please?

I use Win 10 Pro Retail and Windows Live Mail on my PC. I have 2 email addresses xxx@tiscali.co.uk (my primary email) and yyy.talktalk.net (secondary) and save most of my emails in sub-folders within my respective Inboxes.

Whilst accessing a website my PC suddenly closed and left me with pale blue screen and a message  "Your PC ran into a problem and needs to restart . . . . . . . . . ".

After restarting when I opened Windows Live Mail only my talktalk.net email was present in its entirety but my tiscali.co.uk had been removed completely. I did add back this email account in Windows Live Mail but there was no sub-folders. Fortunately I can access all the sub-folders within web mail but prefer using my PC email system. Any suggestions how to retrieve these sub-folders and emails please?

Hi I changed the password for accessing my account online and my account stated that the password for my main email account would be changed to match. However as my account email is a legacy pipex account i dont think it links properly. I know cannot access my dsl.pipex email account.

 

I need Talk Talk tech person to re-set and advise a new pipex. email account password.

 

Can anyone help please ?

 

 

Missing emails possibly associated with Horde

Hi folks. I am suffering an odd problem with onetel on horde which may be related to Horde inconsistency. I access my onetel emails in three ways:-
1. On my Windows 10 PC using POP on MS Outlook 2007, leaving messages on the server..
2. On my Windows 10 tablet/laptop using IMAP on MS Outlook 2007
3 On my Galaxy S6 using IMAP on Bluemail

Occasionally I find that messages disappear on my phone before they can be read. Often then I find that some messages (including these) are missing from my PC inbox and cannot be recovered. If I check my tablet, I find that the same (but sometimes different) emails are missing from my inbox.
Its almost as though messages accessed by one device become, inconsistently, invisible to other devices.
If I check my Horde inbox, all messages are present and correct but I can find no way of marking messages as 'unread' to make them available again for all devices.

Anybody got any idea what is going on?

Cannot connect to IMAP server

I cannot connect the talktalkt IMAP server since I tried to change my mail password. I am using outlook 2016 and when I try to repair the account it says connection to the incoming IMAP mail server was dropped. As far as I know I am using the setting that talkttalk recommend. How can I fix this?

Updated Windows 10 on 10/06/2020, now talktalk email on Windows Mail won't work ???

Hi All

After completing Windows 10 updates yesterday I got system error messages on my wife's talk talk email and mine in Windows Mail 

Messed around in settings did some googling for clues and changed some settings ..

 

Deleted email accounts and then added them again

 

Wife's added fine automatically with just email address and password 

Mine did not … is not picking up imap and smtp fully????

Added em manually.. worked for a time yesterday 

startup this morning...wife's is working fine, but mine has no new mail into Mail ,

I checked and new emails have arrived on that Talktalk email account on my unlinked, unsynced smartphone????

Thoughts , ideas, help????

Why,  when I log on, do I get 'Connection Error - try again', a number of times: why does it take many tries to DELETE emails I have read, or put unacceptable emails - such as Russian prostitutes, cannibis offers etc into SPAM? Why do unacceptable emails, which have gone into SPAM come back instead of being blocked ? Thankyou.

Hello OCEs et al.

 

Like others who have already posted this morning ( eg at  https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Fibre-Broadband/Amazon-gift-card/m-p/2564938#M273161 and  https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Email-Webmail/Free-Amazon-Gift-Card/m-p/2564818#M133263 ), I have received the above email, addressing me with my real name,  but no gift card. Assuming it is legitimate, why is there no link in body of email to access the gift card and how/when will same be recieved? 

 

(Have started this separate thread, as I appreciate OCEs will need to answer everyone individually).

 

If not legitimate, who has accessed my details?

Hi 

I recently requested to delete my old tiscali.co.uk email address  I sent a letter asking to be forgotten and also sent evidence of my identity as requested. However i never received confirmation that the account has been deactivated. I can no longer access the account so i assume so, but i would really like confirmation as the account had been compromised.

Not receiving emails from business domains

Hi,

 

I've just found out that over the last 4 weeks I have not been receiving emails from some business domains.  Some of these emails were important.

 

The senders did not get an error message and the emails did not appear on Webmail, and the senders are not blocked or marked as 'junk'.

 

I have been receiving other emails from addresses that are know to me, including businesses that I have already emailed, but new business emails seem to be blocked.

 

Can you help me sort this one out please?

SLS/TLS email security certificate issue

Hi,

 

Since the 2nd June I haven't been receiving email on my phone though I can send email fine. I use my talktalk.net email address in the gmail app on a Moto G6 phone. In the same app gmail.com email works fine.

 

Exploring this tonight the gmail app is rejecting the talktalk SLS/TLS security setting stating "email security not guaranteed". If you try and re-enter the settings (POP3, port 995, SLS/TLS) it says "certificate not invalid". Viewing the certificate information it shows "certificate has been changed" and to contact email provider. The certificate detail displayed shows a new certificate came into force on 2nd June issued by Sectigo RSA Organization Validation Secure server CA and expires on Jun 3, 2022. I have attached a screenshot of it.

 

It is clear gmail is rejecting the new updated security certificate on talktalk email. I can get the email working by choosing insecure email with port 110 and no security but it shouldn't be that way. Please will you explain and resolve this issue.

Unable to change email password

I am urgently trying to change the password to my email account as my Ebay and Amazon accounts have been hacked.  I have tried via the accounts > settings route  that failed (telling me the details are incorrect, they aren't as I signed in with them!) and I have tried via the forgotten password route that failed too ('sorry something went wrong').  


Can you help please!
