Talktalk blocking incoming emails

$

I have been receiving intermittent complaints from reputable contacts (most importantly from Civica, formerly Electoral Reform Services) that their emails to my .net address are bouncing back because "the address is unable to be found or cannot receive emails" and they are thus obliged to contact me by post.  The most recent was today from Google Calendar attempting an automatic reminder about an event!  In this instance, a subsequent message did get through informing me of the bounceback......  I have checked and have no email filter rules defined, nor is my mailbox anywhere near full.  What steps do I need to take, please, for Talktalk to unblock these randomly blocked senders?

Many thanks

Mail quota warning Pipex

I have recently been getting mail box quota warnings on my Pipex email account despite having relatively few emails in my inbox. The latest just now came when I had only about 20 emails there. What's going on as I never used to get these warnings unless I had well over a 100 emails?

Thanks

Talktalk email not receiving emails from a specific sender

My email has been working fine up until end of May when it stopped receiving emails from a specific sender with multiple emails. The sender is not receiving a block or notification email so believes that the email has been received, the talk talk email shows nothing at all.

It was fine and now it has stopped, there are no rules put in place or block for the sender email address. So I am at a bit of a loss why it has suddenly changed.

Anybody have any recommendations, thanks

Since changing my talktalk package the voice phone is down but internet is working. I've tried the phone in the master socket - no better. Should I be contacting talktalk to fix it or should I contact BT Openreach?

One of my folders disappeared from my email account, it contained important documents. I made a new folder, managed to find some of the documents still saved on my phone and added them. Now the folder has gone again. I have several folders which are all fine, except the one containing my holiday and travel insurance forms.

Onetel account compromised - need password change

In February this year my old onetel email account was hacked and the hacker contacted amazon as me and asked for a password reset.  They tried the same with eBay but were unsuccessful.

I changed my email account and deleted everything from my onetel email account.  I have read other posts on this site and can see that bizarrely it doesn't seem possible to simply deactivate or delete the account, which would be my preference.

More recently, the same hacker (I believe) successfully hacked into my work email account and was able to send out a whole raft emails as if they were me.  This is very serious.

In order that the hacker cannot go in and send any emails from my onetel account, would someone please tell me how I may change the password, so that at the very least it is secure.

I know that Onetel might seem like going back into the dark ages, but I believe that TalkTalk as the owner of Onetel has a responsibility for the security of these orphan onetel email accounts, as these hackers are hell bent on destroying people's lives - we cannot be ignored.

Email account hacked

It seems that my email account of *removed for security* has been hacked.

My usual password is not been accepted and when I am trying to change the password, your system is showing an email address and a telephone number ending with 2812 and a gmail account ending with @gmail.com.

Can you please help as soon as possible?

Onetel Account still hacked/compromised

Hello
This has been ongoing for over a month and require Talk Talk to sort out the security holes that are clearly evident with Onetel email accounts.

These accounts are not fit for purpose.

Why can't onetel email account holders be given the ability to change passwords on their own account.  Onetel account holders are at the mercy of hackers.  My wife's account has now been locked out and she can no longer control her email, her online identity is being compromised by TalkTalk and she is powerless to sort this out.

Could Talk Talk take some responsibility here and help all these Onetel customers and give them accounts that are not based on 1990's security measures

Onetel Customers should complain

$

Onetel customers who have had their accounts hacked/compromised and there are a lot of you out there, I believe should make a complaint either by email or letter
You can use    concerns@talktalkplc.com
Complaint page is
 https://community.talktalk.co.uk/t5/Articles/How-do-I-make-a-complaint/ta-p/2204670

Make sure you put in information that is required.
Talk Talk have 8 weeks to resolve issue from making first point of complaint.
Once the 8 weeks have passed you can request a deadlock letter for your complaint to ofcom.

The ICO is responsible for enforcing DPA regulations.

https://www.ofcom.org.uk/phones-telecoms-and-internet/how-to-report-a-complaint/customer-service

Are TalkTalk safeguarding our personal data sufficiently due to their outdated security measures in place for Onetel account holders and as such maybe in contravention of The Data Protection Act (DPA) 1998.

It is clear that the forum method is not working and people's emails are being continually compromised.  We are unable to make simple password changes to safeguard our accounts and our on-line lives and identities are being compromised by TalkTalk not being able to deal with the volume of complaints from Onetel customers.

You may wish to hope that the forum route may work for you, but look at the history of complaints and read the threads of the complainers.  We need to take action and hopefully Ofcom will resolve our complaints or at least those of future Onetel account holders who are to be hacked.  For some of us it is already too late.

I discovered that my talktalk webmail had been hacked and an auto forward set up to an unknown email address. I have subsequently removed the auto forward and changed my password, but as I haven't received any of my emails for the last 24 hours, is there any way to recover my emails from the talktalk servers?

Unable to access tiscali email

My tiscali email account has been suspended due to suspicious activity so I am unable to access it without resetting my password. However when I try to reset it only the option of sending the reset link to my tiscali email account appears. Is there an alternative way that can be used as I don’t have access to the email as it is suspended.

Not Able To Receive Emails

I have not been able to receive any emails for 3 days on my #####talktalk.net account, I can however send them, I also have other email accounts on my account and they all work fine, so why does this one not work, I have already spent an hour on hold just to be told to come here and post a message??

I really need this particular email account to work as it should, I have already checked forwarding is not ticked and auto forwarding is not ticked so all the settings are correct, and they are the same across all my accounts, I'm really at a loss as to what to do, any help would be really appreciated, thank you.

Blocking emails from blocked senders

Hello. New to this forum.

I've been getting a lot of spam-type emails supposedly from different sources but with the same format of my address which suggests they have been coming from (or given away by) the same source. CBD oil and Bitcoin seem to be favourites but there are many others. Every time I block the email contact it tells me they have been added to the blocked senders list (wherever that is!). However I still get emails from these addresses, just telling they come from a blocked sender, so I still have to delete them! I'd like to be able to really block these emails without having to delete them each time! I don't want to have to set up a "rule" for each sender as there are lots of them. Can anyone advise whether I can simply have a list of blocked senders, and how to set up the necessary rules or whatever.

Many thanks for any suggestions. Steve

Moving broadband to a new supplier but want to keep email address

I'm thinking of moving broadband to a different supplier when my contract with TT finishes and want to keep my email address. I'm OK with signing up for TT email plus but can't do that yet as I'm a broadband customer. Do I have to wait until after I move the broadband away from TT to sign up with TT email plus? I don't want to lose the email account.

Thanks.

I would like to know when my contract runs out.  I also want to cancel the faster broadband, the sky sports and the movies.

Can you get back to me asap
