'We Transfer' problems

I am an occasional user of 'We Transfer' until recently. It now needs a Verification Code, sent to a 'Talk Talk' address but it never arrives so I can't use the service. Similarly, senders to here receive an 'Undeliverable...' message. Spam/Junk not implicated and recipient-sender addresses all perfect. Anyone have experience of this and a way around it or cure?


Unable to send emails using Incredimail

Hiya everyone

I've been using Incredimail for many years & now the website has gone so no more support...

I can still receive emails but can't send them which is a pain as I keep having to log in to the talktalk web page every time...

I'm getting the message " Failed to connect to the outgoing server smtp.talktalk.net"    &   "554 cm4nec smtp.talktalk.net ESMTP server not available"...

but haven't a clue what this means... I have a few different email addresses & they're all the same & I haven't done anything

Can someone please help as it's driving me nuts

I have Windows Live Mail.  I cannot download it because I am asked for a password and it does not accept it. If I could get to my Talktalk Account I think I could fix the email password, but I cannot log in due to my log in material at talktalk being faulty and I cannot receive texts so I fail there.  I have a ready made password which is strong, I think.  I have been told by 'Chat' that my email problem may be due to the virus as others are similarly affected.  I am just struck.  I phoned talktalk this afternoon but I was cut off after nearly two hours of waiting and here I am with this little problem, but no emails.

Hi All,

 

I left my old email address which was with tiscali gathering dust however I have realised there were some old contacts I would like to track down. My problem is I can't remember my password and of course resetting it means it will send the email to the address I can't access. I thought I had linked it to another account for backup but it seems this is not available to get a login link sent. I never rolled onto to talk talk when they took over tiscali. I no longer have the phone number I was using at the tme so I can't even get a text. I kept all my passwords on an old laptop that died foolishly not backing them up.

How can I resolve this dilema?

 

As per the previously helpful suggestions/resolutions I would like to point this to a TTL to assist and verify my legitimacy.

I asked for a password change at end of April my email went off beginning of May, I have had no call from TT with a new password and no access to my email it just says username or password is wrong, why turn off my email before having the new one in place, I rely on email for my work and being without it for over a month is ridiculous.

Stephen F has tried to escalate it but I think it is falling on deaf ears, it does not give much confidence in moving to TT from another supplier.

Hi Guys, Trying to get into my talktalk email account this morning, and it seems to be playing up, I note that T/T are changing things today that could maybe affect email,any idea's,

Anyone else with this problem ?

My access has been steady for a month or so ago, and hope this is not my fault re-emerging again.

His help and assistance have been missed since his last posting, which I believe was on Sunday 31st May, so I ask myself:

 

Has he been taken ill?

I doubt it, because if he had, we would surely have been notified.

 

Is he on Holiday?

No, because if he is, we would surely have been notified.

 

Has he retired?

No, I don’t think so as he would surely have said ‘Arrivederci!’ or‘Goodbye’ to the forum.

 

There has been no valedictory address from TalkTalk.

 

Correct me if I am wrong, but the only other possibility would appear to be that there has been some dispute or a clash of opinions and/or personalities between him and TalkTalk staff into working practices. I say that for the following reason.

 

I have noticed several instances recently where, following Gondola’s ‘escalation’ of a customer’s question to TalkTalk, there have been delays in OCE staff responding to that customer (normally on the subject of Password Reset and sending a Personal Message) and Gondola has had to send another ‘escalation’ message to TalkTalk. The reason given for delays has generally been as a result of staff shortages due to Coronavirus.

 As you can see, I've now escalated 4 times for you and the Community Manager is helping you.

Assuming Gondola has gone to pastures new, I would just like to say ‘You have been a fount of knowledge, someone who has proved invaluable not only to TalkTalk customers but to TalkTalk plc as well.

 

Your presence and help will be greatly missed.

email password error

Hi

 

unable to send or receive emails via my main talktalk email address over the last week. Email client (Thunderbird) reports a password/authentication error.

 

Using TalkTalk mail via the web app again leads to "incorrect password" error. The only option for resetting my password is via a link to be sent to the very email account I can't access!

 

I have managed to create an extra mailbox which is working fine but I need access back to the original mailbox and the emails it contains.

 

I suspect this is the same problem that I can see other customers have reported over the last few days.

I can't see any of my Read messages in my inbox

On my old Vista computor I can see all my inbox messages from year dot via the shortcut on the desktop (WinMail.exe)

I have just got a Windows10 computor and cannot see any read messages when I access my Inbox through the web or via My Account Dashboard

I can see all of my Sent emails.

Checking back on my Vista computor I find that I also cannot see any Read messages in my Inbox via My Account Dashboard.

Can anybody please help.

Been on webchat several times a d escalated to Tech Support, then escalated to specialist team who were supposed to phone to sort- still waiting. No emails for nearly 2 weeks.

Hi. In February 2020 I signed up with TalkTalk broadband and the deal included a £50 Amazon Voucher which would be emailed at 90 days. To date I have not received the voucher. On live chat this week I was promised a call back from a manager within 24 hours, to discuss but this has not happened.

The voucher will be sent to you as I can see on the system when processing this that there is voucher that is due to you on the 3rd month since you took the package on the 17-02-2020 it is due to be gibven to you on 90th day which is 17 MAY 2020

old legacy emails

Recently TalkTalk wrote to me saying they could not get through to my email and they were sending me a paper bill, which I do not want and charging me £2 per month for the privilege.They say I have an old legacy e mail which they no longer can support and suggest I set up a 3rd party email address such as yahoo so that they can contact me.My e mail address is .net and I have had this since joining TalkTalk in 2009 .since when has  been classed as an old legacy email domain and why have I not been told?I find it deeply ironic that everyone can connect with me ,no problem ,except my internet provider.

Hi I recieved an email from talktalk this morning stating that my mail plus account is going to be deactivated on the 31st may because of a payment issue with credentials not being correct to take the payment in may. I have paid you guys on the 13th may this month and the payment was cleared with my bank. Why 2 days before it's due to be disconnected am I receiving this email. It tells me to click and change my account details in the my account section of the website. Naturally I didnt click the email. I pay for a service from you guys because I need those emails. Why is it being disconnected in 2 days if I have already paid you this month. Please confirm.... thank you. 

Deleted emails after a month

My emails are deleting themselves after a month or so from my account. This is very frustrating when I need to access an important email and it not to be there!! Is there a setting I need to change in order to stop auto-deleting emails? I thought it could be my Iphone, which is where I read my emails, but it happens on other devices. Any suggestions?
