TT608 Message on sending

Hi. Many of my outgoing emails fail to reach the recipient due to the error "Message could not be sent to the following recipients: [***] (554 - 554 5.2.0 fIPyj12FaJG17 Sender Denied (TT608)

 

I have looked at other threads on this and followed their advice - changed password, looked for suspicious re-directs, sent items etc. All good. 

 

A friend who specialises in email etc for small businesses reckons this is out of my control and a problem with the IP address of TT's mail server being blocked. He's recommending I move to a different provider, but I am reluctant to do this as I have been with TT and prior to that Tiscali for over a decade. 

 

I wonder if anyone has any thoughts?

Talktalk server and password error

Hi, unable to send or receive emails via talktalk email address since 28th May, server error pops up and asks for password which when i enter says unable to authenticate.

Tried logging onto talktalk mail & my account, but its saying password is incorrect and reset is to the email address i cant access. Called TT promised call from a manager to reset password yesterday but not heard anything and now i cant get through on the phone to them. If you could escalate please.

I have a pipex account and am trying to set it up on my new laptop but it isn’t recognising what I believe is the password.  I can find how to reset it.  Please help.

Password rejection by talktalk

I regularly get "password not recognized" when I try to send emails though any of my talktalk accounts.  My passwords and stored automatically by my iMac in Keychain and the problem only applies to passwords associated with talktalk email accounts.  It doesn't matter which computer I use - it happens regularly on an iMac, MacBook Pro, and an iPad.  It doesn't happen on my Apple account or a gmail account I have.

 

Is the talktalk system at fault and what can I do to rectify this (short of using someone else)?

 

I use Thunderbird as an email client and the iMac is on High Sierra v10.13.6. Everything is up to date.

Problem With Microsoft Outlook and Samasung Phone

When I am at home I use Outlook on my computer and it's fine but my Samsung phone keeps coming up asking for my password if I don't use it everyday. It's the advance features page which then appears. I fill it in and then it comes up with unable to connect. I follow the instructions from a TalkTalk web page. I delete it and again install it but the same happens. If I delete Outlook and leave it for about a week then install I get the easy step by step instructions and it works, that is until I then forget to check emails everyday (old age) then it goes to asking for password, user name,  imap etc. It's so frustrating.

I can send Emails From my iPhone when connected to my router but when on mobile data I get the old chestnut of can’t recognise password. My other Email account works fine. I’ve deleted the account and re installed same problem on both IMAP and POP3. 
HELP PLEASE.!.

RE Lost Password

Noticed on the reset request page that my alternative email address ends in .net, should be .com

How may I correct this ? I have received a link re the password reset system though, which arrived at the .com address, so maybe it is automatically corrected ? ( I was too late in responding, so link expired)

incidentally, why is the ' yourbill@billing.talktalk.co.uk ' address not available?

Last month ( May )  I received a paper billing for the first time in 5 years, which at least allowed me a sight of my account/phone details- I am unable to sign in to tiscali address emails or my account as any password I try is incorrect and all attempts to reset have failed. 

I think I shall have to write a letter to Salford office as a last resort- this can't go on.

mail.talktalk.net certificate has invalid issuer

Hi All

I've seen similar topics from a year or two ago, but nothing recently.

It says that the cert was issued by Sectigo RSA Organization and seems to relate to Talk Talk businessess, but the warnings about continuing are dire, so don't know what to do next and can't even phone Talk Talk currently!

Any help fratefully received.

PS - I have a Tiscali email address if that helps?

Tiscali email authenication

I don’t have a TalkTalk MyAccount, but kept my old Tiscali email address using Windows Live Mail (WLM) on my Windows 7 PC.  On 28 May when trying to access my Inbox, I got the repeated message to enter my user name and password because an incorrect password had been entered.  No password that I tried would work, so I can’t receive or send Emails with WLM.  I can, however both receive & send Emails using TalkTalk Mail.  Can you help please?

Hi - Normally when I log on to the internet I get a little green circle with a green tick inside it at each site address. Currently this is not happening. Any ideas?

Talktalk server and password error

Same issue as previous poster. Cannot access my lineone.net email address through Outlook. Getting the same request for password but cannot reset as cannot download emails and you do not have a mobile number for the account. The Email address is very old and I can't for the life of me remember the password.

 

Can anybody help please?

Spam emails

I rarely use the web mail other then to empty the spam folder but was wondering once I've marked a email as spam and deleted it from the spam folder do other emails that arrive with the exact same domain go in to the spam folder automatically or do I never recieve them?

If its's the latter is there a way of getting them again?

Reactivating an old account

Hi, I had an email account with your company around 3-4 years ago as my family were using the talk talk broadband. This email was linked to my Facebook account and since my email has changed, I have continuously tried to change the email from the old to my new email but it was always unsuccessful for what ever reason that may be. But however, a couple of days ago my Facebook account was hacked and I have no access at all, im not even able to delete the account. Plus obviously because my talk talk email is the only email linked to my profile I have no power to do anything! So would it be even the slightest bit possible to maybe reactive my old talk talk email address so I could gain access back to my Facebook account?? I’ve tried every other option, and have no way of getting into contact with Facebook themselves so this is my last option!

Mail presents this message box when trying  to connect to talktalk.net. This has only started since AVG released an update to their internet security.

 

The certificate for this server is invalid. You might be connecting to a server that is pretending to be "mail.talktalk.net" which could put your confidential information at risk. Would you like to connect to the server anyway?

I tried to log on to the mail server through the talktalk web site and got a similar message in the firefox browser. The same thing happened to me a while back with the natwest web site, AVG investigated and could not find an answer. natwest checked their site was secure. Firefox says it's a problem with the web site. where do I go from here?

I would like to discuss that i have not yet recieved my amazon prime code i have bought the box set and wifi hub with the amazon prime offer and yet still havent recieved it. I have been with talktalk for about 13 days

Resurrect an email address

 A friend has asked me about this.  She was a talktalk customer and had a talktalk email address. She married a chap with his own talktalk account so stopped being a paying customer and did not transfer her email to his talktalk account.  Her email account stopped working a few months ago but she had used it as a recovery login for various other accounts - including Apple ID.  Is their any way she can get the email  account resurrected and transferred to her husbands Talktalk account?

Tiscali email account - problems with access on Mail (Mac) since 1 June 2020

Since 1 June, every time I try to access my incoming emails I get a Verify Certificate box up on my Mac stating that 'the certificate for this server is invalid'. I can choose to ignore this warning but am told that it may be to a server pretending to be pop.tiscali.co.uk which could put my confidential information at risk (which obviously I do not want to do).

I have made no changes to the settings on Mail and have rechecked that they are correct (according to Talk Talk's website). I am able to send emails from Mail with no problem. I know that I can access my emails via the Talk Talk app but that is not my preferred way.

Any help and suggestions would be gratefully received please. I have spent hours with the Talk Talk online help to no avail (even though the adviser seemed very helpful).
