Forgotten email password - cannot reset

Hi

 

I am also having trouble logging in to my Tiscali email - I have forgotten the password and the recovery email is being directed to the email address that I have forgotten the password to...can anybody suggest a way to fix this problem?

Internittent problems with emails all afternoon

I have had an intermittent email service all afternoon with Windows Live Mail asking me to log in.

This is a problem I've seen before on busy weekend evenings.

Your broadband service is a complete joke as is your company and neither are fit for purpose.

This happens with depressing frequency.  I use an email client (eM Client) on which I have three email accounts - two Talktalk and one GMX.  I never have problems with GMX - works like clockwork.  However, I go through periods where I am literally bombarded with error messages each time my email client refreshes and these relate to the two Talktalk accounts.  A box appears for each address saying "password required" followed by "Server says internal server error".  This is nothing to do with me, my email client or my computer.  It will run for hours, sometimes days, then it will stop.  I had a thought that if I posted this somebody from Talktalk might care to explain why it happens and why it cannot be prevented.

Tiscali logins not being recognised again! Service status shows no detail, but this has been a problem many times before. I'll wait and see it is fixed by tomorrow before phoning?! Noted talktalk maintenance scheduled overnight?!

Having issues downloading emails via usual mail on iPad and iphone yet can see then through webmail. Is there an issue and how long before it’s sorted?

Hi

I have a Motorola G8 plus phone The email (FairEmail) was working fine up to midday, now I get a message  as - Could not connect to host port 153.92.174.228,993 time out 20000 failed to connect /153.92.174.228 (port 993) from /192.168.1.25 (port 49646) after 20000ms.

I try to use Gmail but i get a message saying Couldn't open connection to server

Can you help

Yes there is an issue with the sign in authentication server. Don't try and change password though, just ride out the current issue until the authentication server is fixed.

 

Try TalkTalk Mail (webmail). If you can get signed in then it'll be a little less troublesome.


It's been ongoing since 11:30 this morning and prior to that since 2016. Can you fix the f'in issue as the system is clearly fuxored.

I use outlook for Talktalk e-mail. It synchronises from the webmail. I have multiple e-mail accounts so its the best way for me to view them all together. I've only had a problem with this system before when there has been a problem at talktalk end. I have now this problem since yesterday morning. Has anyone else also recieving these errors?
Task 'Synchronizing subscribed folders for xxxxx@talktalk.net.' reported error (0x800CCC0E) : 'Outlook cannot synchronize subscribed folders for obscured for customer security Error: Cannot connect to the server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP).'

I have been having these problems all afternoon yesterday and again this morning. Even the TalkTalk "Send test email" does not work so they must know there is a issue.

With this new problem and all the issues we had back in May, what compensations / discounts are Talktalk planning to give thier customers once this issue is resolved?

Hi All,

I am having trouble with receiving and sending email.  All my details are correct, but the server won't lt me in.  It was happening from the middle of yesterday and still this morning.  Any service problems anyone knows about? I am in South East London

my email said ‘cannot get mail, the mail server ‘mail.talktalk.net is not responding’ 4 days ago for about 2 days, so i deleted the account in settings on iphone, and eventually managed to re add my email, and it’s now saying i’ve got no mail. it’s not receiving anything, but the accounts still active as i logged in in safari. it’s now coming up with ‘account error’, ‘cannot get mail’. someone help please.

I can not receive emails using any email client (iOS, Mac Mail, etc). Seems to be an authentication issue as client asks for password and when entered rejects it as an error. I can log into webmail ok and see emails. Status Dashboard shows green but I have seen other users with a similar issue. Can you advise if this is a known problem and when it will be fixed.

I have left Talktalk but find my tiscali account which I have had for ever seems to be still under the control of Talktalk and is being blocked! Why? I had no trouble moving my tiscali address to Talktalk so why hasnt it come with me to my new supplier?

I am a legacy customer (i.e. I am not a TalkTalk customer).

My email address has been hacked. I cannot change my password on the pipex webmail portal. Please can someone there help me to change the password quickly.

Hi,
My problem is that that my wife's email account password is coming up as incorrect. She normally accesses it via Microsoft Outlook. It was working fine up until yesterday when the problem occurred, so she must have had the correct one originally, but has clearly forgotten it. When we try to reset it via my account, it still wants the original one to do so. Its a vicious circle!
