My onetel email has been compromised and the password changed. I can't access my mails and do not know how to reset the password. Can someone please kindly urgently assist? Many thanks.

Hacked tiscali email
Hi, I have a very old Tiscali email account that has been hacked. They have changed the password so I no longer have access to it. I am not a Talk Talk customer and the Live chat were unable to help. I see previous posts have got assistance with a security call, I hope someone will be able to help.

Onetel mailzone ‘Mail server closed connection unexpectedly ‘
I'm having the same issue since yesterday. I cannot log into the web portal for onetel mailzone or download emails into Outlook. In Outlook I'm getting the error message:
"Task 'obscured for customer security@onetel.com - Receiving' reported error (0x80042108) : 'Outlook cannot connect to your incoming (POP3) e-mail server. If you continue to receive this message, contact your server administrator or Internet service provider (ISP)." Can somebody please help?

I cannot accesss my email account - I am a technophobe ! I click on the link I have used for ages and the page where I normally enter my password etc does not even come up - eventually it says it has timed out...this email is my main email address. Can anybody help me please and keep it VERY simple for me?? Thank you in advance !

Unable to login to or reset Community password
Since last September TalkTalk have changed the login criteria for the Community. My password, which worked last year, does not have any upper case characters and I am unable to log in. I have tried resetting the password but this is difficult given the current Onetel situation. I have managed to get a Onetel email through with a link to click on to reset the password but when I enter any new password I receive a message:
Correct the highlighted errors and try again
Sorry, we are unable to reset your password.
However I am asked to correct highlighted errors when none are shown.
I’ve tried many times with passwords of different lengths with upper case, lower case, numbers and special characters – and without special characters. I’ve tried password lengths of between 8 and 14 characters but none are accepted.
Thus I cannot access the Community Account using the login details associated wiith my Onetel email address. I am only able to post here because I have another legacy account from Tiscali and set up Community access using a different user name earlier today.
Why cannot I update the password on my Community Account for the user name associated with my Onetel email account?

Login criteria for the Community forums changed ?
Hi community manager and OCEs, at approx 6.30 pm today I encountered the following problem when trying to log in to the community forums to view an email server discussion which I had contributed to before that the password would not work for access although it had worked earlier in the day.and was the same I'd used for ages.After a lot of faffing around and trial and error I had to do a password reset via email and change the password to eight characters or more,include an uppercase letter and a number,.My previous old password was six letters in total.Touchwood I now have access once more but my concern is why we were not informed in any way that this change was needed and what was involved. I assume its for increased security .I have posted here in Email help as i could not obviously see a more appropriate section to point out the problem and I'm still fuming from the patronising response from the Talktalk reset page "well we all forget things from time to time"

Need to change Tiscali email password
I need to chage the password on my long standing Tiscali email address to make it more secure. I am not a TalkTalk customer anymore so I cant change it in MyAccount and the password recovery options were not set so clicking forgotten password does not work . I see that some people have had assistance by posting here so perhaps someone from TalkTalk can pick this up and help

Changing my onetel email password
Hello
I would like to change my onetel email password as it is a very weak one by current standards. However, my email address is not recognised if I try to log in to a TalkTalk account and I do not have a recovery password. I have read on other posts that I need to put the following information in the Private Notes section of my Community account:
Email address affected.
Full Name.
Date of Birth.
Mobile contact number.
Phone number linked to email address
Full postal address email is linked to.
I have now done this and would be grateful if you could access this information and arrange for me to reset the password.

Onetel mail issue / password reset
Hi there
i have been having problems with my onetel email for about 4 days now.
works fine on iPad but not on pc with thunderbird.
when I try to access emails on my pc it asks for my password which I cannot currently remember. However I have not changed it recently.
will this issue fix itself or do I need to change my password?
i have filled out the required info in the private details of my account here.
if you need to contact me, use my landline as I don’t have a mobile.

Tv box freeze on playback
Hi everyone,
I'm new to TT and finding the service good so far. However, I'm having problems with recordigs freezing on playback. Spoke to CS earlier but waiting for a call back in next 72 hrs! Not helpful if I'm at work or on the road driving.
The box is only a couple of weeks old and has frozen about 8 or 9 times so far, not what you would expect from a new device.
Has anyone got ideas to solve the issue quickly without having to call CS repeatedly to get a resolution ?

Old Lineone email account not working
As of this morning - access to my old lineone email account seems to have stopped? The password was not changed - so I am assuming you have blocked it?
I have tried to access the account and use a recovery link - but the recovery address is an old O2 email address and they shutdown all email customer accounts about a year ago..so no help there.
Im stuck as to how to get access back to my email account - which I have had for years!!

Am I correct in supposing that the new TalkTalk Mail is still an online service and there is no email app or PC email client available?

Could not connect to "mail.onetel.com" Cause: connection refused (10061) since 2 March 2018.
Hi, my email client "Eudora V7" which has for >10yrs worked very well, suddenly has problems retrieving my *@onetel.com emails. Despite talktalk online instructions to use "pop.onetel.com" server, my client has always used "mail.onetel.com" server to connect using pop3.
I tried changing this setting but got the same result, so changed back.
During the week from 2-9th March I also had problems with the alternative "Horde" logon which now seems to work OK but I would dearly like my own client to be back up and running.

Managed to get her problem solved fairly quickly by " Community Team" and was hoping for similar treatment if possible, since problem occurred with onetel and on the same day.
