Only sent a couple of emails today so why would I get this message please:

An unknown error was returned from the SMTP server.

Having the same problem. Been days since we could log on. Had Tiscali email account for years, Talk Talk said I wasn't a customer and couldn't help. I'm not a Talk Talk customer but hopefully someone can help.

Since yesterday morning I am unable to access or download onetel emails to mail app on iPad, it says something wrong in settings (which I haven’t changed).  When I try logging in directly via webmail I get a message saying mail server closed connection unexpectedly.. any idea what’s going on and when it will be fiixed ?

Microsoft support asking me to ask you how to stop this email address automatically self deleting all emails older than 15 days old. There must be a setting somewhere that controls this.

Website hosting on Talktalk

I have had my website hosted on Talktalk for some years.  Now I have left Talktalk, I do not appear to have access via my FTP to the talktalk.net server.  OK, having left Talktalk I will have to find a new host BUT my website is still being displayed and I cannot change it nor close it down. Any suggestions for closing it down?

Hi

My onetel email/password appears on the pwned website and may therefore have been compromised. Can you please assist in a reset (I no longer have a TalkTalk account). I have added the info you require in my personal notes in my profile.

Unable to add e-mail address to MS Outlook

Have had to re-build my PC and now have issues adding e-mail addresses to outlook.

Two went in fine but a third account associated with my main tiscali account fails.  However a second Android PC with the same address works continues to work.

 

Suspect the reason is the PW so went into my main account on the tiscali site and changed the PW.  This it accepted and a mail was sent to the seond PC confirming the PW change, however suspect the change was not actioned as the mail account did not require the PW change to be confirmed or re-input on the working PC.

 

Went back to the original PC and tried the new PW with both POP3 and IMAP addressing but the account fails to log onto the server although a MS Outlook test message is being sent as I can see that on the second PC.

 

Any ideas as to what is wrong.  Could the account could be blocked by Tiscali security and if so how do I unblock that?

It would appear that since 03/03/2018 I have been unable to access my lineone emails. I have seen other posts stating that passwords have been reset to prevent spam so I assume that is what has happened here.

Could someone please let me know what this password is?

I have tried for over a month to log on to one of my email addresses on Tiscali.co.uk that I set up several years ago and has worked until the end of January. I am unable to reset the password as it is not recognised by the Talk Talk web site and I do not have any other services apart from this email and one on ukgateway.net. I have tried the help line and even had an incident number texted to me and used the chat line but nothing has been done. I see this is a problem other people have had so I am starting this thread to try and get a resolution.

Missing emails from some folders

I have many folders in my emails but when I went into them today through mail on my iPad, 3 folders are saying “No Mail” when I know there should be emails in each. The rest of the folders are fine with all emails showing.  I also tried on my iPhone & through Webmail & they’re still missing. I really need these emails back, please can someone help me with this? Thanks.

Tiny world account not working on i phone suddenly

I have had a tinyworld account for years since I had my tiny computer.  in the last 5 years I have had it set up on my i phone and been able to receive and send e mails no problem.  all of a sudden e mails are not sending or receiving and I am getting a message  - 'the mail server "imap.tiscali.co.uk" is not responding. verify that you have entered the correct account info in Mail settings'

I have not changed any settings and I have a suspicion it is because my account has been frozen for some reason and that I need to do a password re set.  because the account is so old, I have never done any of the 'recover me' stuff, so I am stuck.  Talk talk cant help as I have no account with them.  Help!!!  I need someone to reset things for me!

I've just set up a new email to add to my list in my account, but it won't work. When I try to set it up on my laptop it says it can't be verified. How can I make it live?

still cant login to my worldonline account try about 3 times and message comes up you have tried 10 times and then locked out for an hour

keeps telling me invalid password or username any help appreciated as I am out of the country

and it wont let me get to password reset page by geo lock I presume.

Good Morning

I have bought a new computer and moved to Windows 10. Until then [Friday Feb 23rd] I used my homecall account every day for work and it was no trouble!

Now I cannot log on or get my messages or contacts.

I had a long TalkTalk chat with Tech Services [Claire] who promised an update within 72 hours. We have got a fault reference number. There has been no further contact from Claire and when I phoned this morning there was no further help despite having the fault reference number.

We have had Homecall for about 12+ years I think, my husband set it up initially and I have/had an address on it. My husband now uses gmail!

Please can you help? I am pretty desperate: all my work contacts are on homecall and it has stopped snowing so it is back to normal

Hi,

 

Have been unable to access my regular Tiscali email since Wednesday 28th Feb, either via webmail or Outlook.

Have had this address since our dial up modem account days and use it for everything (online accounts, electronic payslips, paypal etc etc.) but on Wednesday it suddenly stopped working?

It is not the same as (or linked to) our current Broadband account, but has always worked and is our main contact email.

Spoke to helpdesk on Wednesday evening for 1 hour, but they were unable to sort it and said they had to refer it to someone else and I would hear back in 72 hours. Not heard anything back yet - can you advise please as we are needing this sorted.

We can send emails out via Outlook but not receive them to this email address.

Problem with Android Outgoing Server Settings

Hi, sincerely hope somebody can help me with this problem. Device is a Sony Xperia X mobile phone and though I cannot be sure, email working fine until recent OS upgrade to Oreo.

I have removed my email account from the phone, restarted, added account again and clicked on manual setup plumping for IMAP. Now, may be this is normal but Incoming Settings are skipped and the next screen is Outgoing Settings which is always set at Port 587 and Security Type STARTTLS. I have worked through all the Security Types i.e. None, SSL/TLS, SSL/TLS (Accept all certificates), STARTTLS and STARTTLS (Accept all certificates) but quite simply without any success.The end result is always the same; Message box stating "Could Not Finish - Could not open connection to server". Incidentally, email working fine on Laptop (Windows 8.1) and webmail is OK.

I look forward to any assistance anyone can provide.

I too have had the same problem since January 2017, forcing me to set up a new email account with a different provider. My onetel sent messages are accessible, but I really need access to my onetel inbox. The message I receive on the mailzone webpage is "Mail server closed the connection unexpectedly" Can anyone please help?
