It's happening again: old emails being marked as unread.

Title says it all really, an old problem has recurred, old emails being marked as unread. It started again on 19 Feb and is persisting. I read an email so its status changed to read, then a short time later the system spontaneously changes its status to unread.

 

And before anyone jumps in to help: My community profile is up to date with all my contact details, and I know that the forum is not real time 24/7 support and that messages get dealt with by the TalkTalk's OCEs in order.

The last time that accessed my email address was 28th January 2018. I called the technical service help line on 4th February and explained that when i tried to log into my mail via TalkTalk webmail, which had been fine since Lineone was aquired by Talktalk as part of the Tiscali aquisition in 2009, gave me an error message @'Unable to verify account name or password' . After being passed to a supervisor I was told that I would have a resolution within 72 hours. I heard nothing by 10th February so I raised a case via the talktalk contact us. Quetionus reference 180210 - 000146. On 12th February I got a reply asking me to contact the Technical Support Team once more. I called today 21st February, as I have working away and the lady wouldn't help me and refused to let me speak to supervisor. I have had the Lineone address since 1997 and as you will appreciate I have ammassed a lot or personal data over this time. Please can you help? obscured for customer security

can I use my own domain name with talktalk mail?

Hi

 

I am a talk talk customer.  I have purchased a domain name for my families use and would like to use this with my talktalk Email account, ie use @myDomainName rather than .net in the from  email address. Is this possible and if so how can this be configured? I am currently using Outlook 2016 as my email client

 

 

 

Password reset for lineone

I have an old Lineone email account that I use as my primary email address. I have tried to reset the password but the link will not work for lineone accounts. My lineone email is my life line as this is the only way I have to communicate with my son in East Africa.

Please can an email expert please contact me to try to assist?

Tiscali webmail inbox full - have already deleted thousands of mails

Hi, 

I haven't been receiving emails since Saturday and on logging into my webmail, it being because my inbox was full. I've subsequently deleted thousands of mails (very time consuming!) but am still not receiving. I must have cleared enough space surely? I'm slowly deleting all emails, but wonder if there is a problem with the mail box itself? Any help gratefully received. Regards.

I can not access my lineone mail account as my username / password will not be excepted. I have not changed any settings and the account has work perfectly for many years.

Tinyworld e-mail account

Hello all,

 

I have been locked out of my tinyworld account with an 'invalid email or password'. Normally this e-mail account works perfectly, however last week ceased to allow me to log in as normal, stating that my username and password is invalid. I have not changed username or password. As my primary account for 15+ years, I rely on this e-mail account to send/ receive e-mails and require access asap.

I have entered all required information into my private note section of my community profile as advised to others with the same issue on here.

I would really appreciate if the community/ OCE_Ady could provide assistance in fixing this issue.

Need help. I've lost my lineone access over the past week, with me being unable to access email on any of my devices. When i try to login via the talk talk wemail link, it's giving me an invalid user name of password messgae, My user name / password have not changed snce 'ive had the account, and it's been an active and used account for almost 20 years.  i have recently got a new mobile, and a new tablet, but the mails had still come through on both devices up until a few days ago. it's getting frustrating now, as its an an active email account, which i need to access. Help would be greatfully appreciated.

hi everyone since the 16th feb all my emails on my @worldonline e-mail account seem to be going in to my trash and I can not send any from this account any thoughts or help to rectify would be gratefully received

Lineone email - deactivated?

Hi guys,

 

I've not received any emails on my lineone email address for a week now.

I know the address and the password have not been changed by me.

When attempting login via my email client or via TalkTalk Webmail I get the same message - "invalid user or password".

Has my lineone email address been deactivated or orphaned or something?

Talktalk mail marking read messages as unread

Since Tuesday, the my TalkTalk email adress has started to mark previously open and read messages as unread (i.e. In bold type, and the Inbox number updated).

 

Support told me nothing known, to clear the cache etc. I had done this but tried again anyway, same result. I normally use Firefox, and have found that it can sometimes behave differently, so used Opera as well, same result. It looks like it is browser indepenent.

 

Manually marked the messages as unread, they grey out but upon refreshing the Inbox the issue returns!  Any ideas out there? There seem to be a couple of similar issues, but no fix .

On Webmail my Lineone address and password are not accepted as of today and show as invalid.

I do not have a Talk talk account as I am am old Lineone customer so have never been able to have password recovery set up.

I have always understood that Lineone passwords could not be altered since TalkTalk took over.

This issue has happened before but has always resolved itself.

Where can I find emails which have gone directly to junk? My husband has forwarded emails to our home address from his work address, but they haven’t appeared in the home Inbox. So...where and how can  I find them and how do I allow them through in future?

Hi folks.

My Email is through Thunderbird which was set up on my laptop when purchased 10 months ago. It has been working OK for months but this afternoon I seem to have a fault where I cannot seem to send or receive. After 15 or 20 seconds I get a pop up window saying it timed out and cannot connect to Talk Talk imap. I have tried a 2 or 3 minute reboot of my router but the fault still persists. Loathe to ring or live chat with Talk Talk Tech Support as last time there was an email glitch I spent virtually an hour going through various checks with them, all of which failed to cure the problem. In the end they said they dont support email, however after a week the problem was corrected. Any advice appreciated, thanks.


Sending e-mails with attachment Very slow

Sending email with attachments has suddenly become very slow. It now takes over 2 mins to send 3Mb of image data. It used to take seconds.

 I have checked my e-mail settings which look OK. I have made no alterations or installed anything new and my Apple updates are up to date. I have also checked for virus which found nothing. 
 My browser is working normally. No problems with browser speed streaming, downloading or uploading. 
 So why has my e-mail sending suddenly and seriously slowed down?
 Before I continue, can someone at TalkTalk please check that this is not a TalkTalk issue
I need to get this resolved.

Unable to access Tiscali emails

Hi. I am unable to retrieve emails today on one of my email addresses. The other one is fine. The problem one just keeps coming up with 'your imap server has closed the connectiion'. Any ideas anyone?

When I checked emails this morning, via my phone, I had six messages saying 'unable to send this message'. I hadn't sent any in the middle of the night, and it looked decidedly dodgy! I deleted them straight away.

 

Email Spam Filter not working, Email log in problem, Callsafe

1) For the last few days the email spam filter has not been working.

 

2) When I log into Webmail my email address is not being saved, even though I tick the box.

 

3) I switched off Call Safe yesterday and received an email confirming this but it is still showing as on in MY Account.

 

Would like some help on these points please.

after many weeks of good service after last big fixing email not working again

on windows live 2012    connecting, checking email comes up then a wait then cannot connect to server

on webmail     cannot connect to server check your settings in red   also continually shows "loading"

Webmail has been out all day no server can be found , how much longer is this going to go on .

When is webmail going to be up and running again ive not been able to use it again all day today this is what the error says  Could not connect to the specified mail server.  this seems to be happening more and more just lately and no one seems at all bothered . Regards Firkham
