I have posed this question on another thread & it immediately came up as solved which it hasn't been even after following the "solution". So here goes again:
I have the same prob with iphone 5s. Wrong user name or password but know that they are correct. Fed up with resetting according to user guide of talktalk, tesco mobile & iphone. Can send emails but not receive on iphone although they get through to same account on computer. Help please.

SMTP Encryption
I currently cannot use encrypted email when sending mail via a talktalk smtp server (smtp.talktalk.net).
Firstly port 25 does not support STARTTLS.
Secondly port 587 supports STARTTLS, but requires the FROM field in the mail data to be the same as the talktalk email address used for authentication.
Please can you update port 25 to accept STARTTLS
or
update port 587 to allow specification of aliases for the talktalk email address used for authentication.
I use a custom email address domain which forwards to my talktalk mail domain.

I am trying to help a friend who has a new windows 10 machine. She has a @talktalk.net email account which although works perfectly via Webmail (proving her log in details are correct) but will not work through Windows 10 mail app, Windows Live Mail 2012 or Thunderbird. We have followed the procedure setting this up but to no avail, it always fails on userename or password. As I said, webmail is perfect so we haven't got that wrong.
On the webmail page is the AIM logo so I was wondering whether this is an old webmail only account (was there ever such a thing?). In the settings on the webmail page there are no options to enable POP or IMAP forwarding which does make me wonder.
Has anyone any commenst on this please?

Same problem here as posted by Whitecliffs, 8-11-2016.
I can access my Tiscali email account on my iPad Air 2 iOS 10.1 but the page will suddenly disappear and the message " a problem has occurred with this web page so it was reloaded" An option to resubmit then appears. The vw sign/ banner keeps loading and is never completed.If the web page lasts long enough to attempt reading a second email, or a reply, forward etc, the page it slides up under the header advert/ banner making it impossible to to reply etc.
This does not happen when I use my MacBook Pro to access my Tiscali account BUT it does also happen when I use other iPads to access that same account.
All Apps have been closed and the browser history has been cleared. The retailer has advised that this is a Talk Talk website problem.
Please help as this has been the case for a few weeks now.

New account - email problems
I opened a new account with talktalk recently (migrated from BT) and when I did so the talktalk representative told me that I could set up my email addresse(s) in advance of my service becoming live, so I set up two addresses one for myself and one for my wife.
Yesterday my system went live and everything seems to work except the two email addresses, I have tried webmail and outlook both say the passwords are wrong.
I have accessed my account and changed the passwords but the new ones are still both rejected. I have tried the ‘chat’ line but the rep couldn’t understand my problem and we kept going round in circles therefore I decided to phone.
During the phone call I tried everything the rep asked, he said that there was nothing wrong with my account and he would need to escalate the problem and it will take 3 days!
I have pointed out that if I create a new email address in ‘my account’ this works perfectly, it is just the two that I created in advance that don’t work – I am told that this shouldn’t be a problem.
I think that if I created two new email addresses for myself and my wife they would work but I chose the original email addresses carefully and want to keep them the reps don't seem to be able to understand the problem - is this the shape of things to come.

Recently the mail sento from Outlook to Gmail go direclty in Gmail spam wher I found a note :
Why is this message in spam? it is from an address in the lineone.net domain but has failed lineone.net required tests for authentication.
It only happens when I use Outlook? Can anyone help?

After 23 years talktalk does not recognise my email address or passwoword . I do not have a talktalk account but had an old lineone.net email address which I have used for personal and business for 23 years . Now no emails are being received and I cannot reset password as it not reconisenthe email address. Spoke to call centre they cannot see my email address therefore it does not exist suggested I phoned lineone.net as they have no knowledge of such a company or email . They do not know bt lineone one.net was taken over by tiscali, then talk talk I have no where to go with got around in circles ,
Can't access DSL Pipex account or email
I have been a customer since the Pipex days but I haven't used the main email address for years. I tried logging in with the proper address and the alias but neither work. I'm fairly certain I have the correct password because this was never changed from what Pipex gave me.
An account was originally set up on TalkTalk using this email address along with the same password, however I can't log in to this neither.
If I try to reset the password it says it has sent a link to the email address, which isn't very helpful when I can't get in to it.
What can I do to change the password or get back in to the account?
Talktalk account settings are out of date
I am on windows 10 & have followed the instructions to set-up a talk talk email account.
However I keep getting a warning message stating your account settings are out of date. Can anyone help please?

Talktalk failed to deliver two very important emails yesterday - thankfully the sender realised the problem and contacted me by other means.
I have just received a bounceback message for one that I sent - it stated.......
'The reason for the problem: 550 "Mail from lcpu.org.uk is denied from host 62.24.135.68 SPF"
62.24.135.68 or smtp-out-4.talktalk.net is an IP address owned by Opal Telecom, Irlam Core Network
There is a valid SPF record on lcpu.org.uk !!!!
When will somebody get this sorted out????????

I've had the above message for the last month and your technical support team keeps texting me telling me that it's been resolved but it persists and I'm told to call, and the entire merry process starts anew.
The last person I spoke to admitted that it was a simple 'password needs resetting at your (TalkTalk's) end' issue (the email concerned is listed as one of my aliases in my account (despite technical support initially saying it didnt exist), but I cannot reset the password therein b/c it tells me that the old password is incorrect, which it isnt as it's the same one I've always used and has always worked. This last person also said that they'd simply reset this at their end, which they obviously havent.
Please get this sorted as it's an absolute outrage that something this simple cannot be rectified with minimal fuss and within 4 weeks; yes, four weeks for a poxy password issue, utterly pathetic.
Sorry about my exasperation but I'm sure you'll agree that this is beyond a joke given how many times I've raised this issue and how many times I've been assured it's been fixed only to have to call again.

I have been unable to access my Lineone.net email address since mid-September - it just stopped working one day and has returned an error message saying incorrect password or user name ever since. I do not have a 'My Account' and cannot change the password myself. I have had the email address for more than 20 years!
Please help - I am quite desperate now to access my inbox. I've tried webmail, different browers, etc, nothing works.
I have updated the private notes section of my profile in anticipation, having read the threads of a number of users with a similar issue.

webmail calendar not showing all data. error message calendar store not found.
Hope this may be the thread - For the second time in as many months, all the contents of my calendar have disappeared and I am getting the message calendar store not found. It really is inconvenient! I am pretty certain both times I had gone into look at Talk Talk Sim deals for myself and the second time I was looking at mobile deals for my son's christmas. Each time I have done this, when I have gone my into my e-mails and calendar - there is nothing there and got the same message both times "calendar store not found". After the first incident it just suddenly appeared back after 4-5 weeks. Hoping you can sort this for me. Help!!
