I've got a very old @lineone.net email account that is now handled via Talk Talk. For a couple of years I've been pulling my @lineone.net emails in to my Gmail account using the Gmail "Check mail from other accounts" functionality.
This stopped working on 1st November. I've tried logging in to my email account via the Talk Talk website (https://www.talktalk.co.uk/mail/) but it keeps failing saying that I've entered the wrong password.
The password can't have been changed as Talk Talk have never been able to provide a way for me to altered my password.
After trying to login 10 times over a couple of weeks I got a message saying I'd been blocked for 1 hour due to 10 failed attempts.
What can I do to sort out getting access to this account?

My mum, who has an ntlworld email address, has been unable to send emails to me & her other friends who have talktalk email addresses for the last couple of weeks. They all come back to her with delivery failure emails after a few days with a 'retry timeout' errors. We are all able to send emails to her but replies fail too.
I tried getting an answer/solution through livechat but after an hour going round in circles the chat got cut off & I was unable to reestablish it so I"m now very frustrated!
Any ideas?

why intermittently can i not send email when using webmail or other methods (ipad common mail ) icon. i have now contacted live chat twice about this problem. i have now been overseas for 10 weeks, using the same two items a laptop and an ipad from the same location via trhe same server here. on one call live chat said it was a security issue, but that security issue vanished a couple of days later all by itself. unfortunately it reappeared a couple of days ago. Taltalk dont seem to be able to help as i see other posts with the same problem but no replies.very frustrating
My wife has been unable to access her ukgateway.net e-mails since yesterday. Although we are certain that the password and username are correct and she used her account a day or two ago to access webmail it now tells her that the username or password is incorrect.
When we try the reset/forgotten password area it won't let us do it and says to contact the Talk Talk team which we have done but after along conversation this proved unhelpful and has not solved the problem. This is her only email address which she has used for many years and being unable to access it is now causing a great deal of distress
Please can someone from the Talk Talk team quickly pick up and resolve this matter for us

I once used onetel for email but deleted the account many years ago. Recently I received (on my current gmail account) an email with this old onetel address being used as a spoofed address. I tested to check if this old email account still existed by sending an email to this address but so far (48hrs) without any response to say it was undeliverable. To test the onetel Daemon was working (since it should have returned my email) I sent a number of emails to @onetel.net with nonsense recipient names . None have been returned as 'undeliverable'.
What does this mean? Is onetel not checking validity of email addresses on its server? Does it simply accept any recipient address provided the destination is correct ie. xxx@onetel.net?
If so then what happens to all these invalid emails?!
I have a laptop an iPhone and a mini iPad all connected to talk talk.
should the password for my talk talk account be the same as my default email password.
should I enter the same password separately on each device
I have my own personal email accounts hosted wtih Unlimited Web Hosting and since this morning I can't recieve emails over IMAP from it.
I am unable to connect anything hosted at unlimited web hosting, my email, my websites, my databases etc, when using my TalkTalk broadband connection.
Do you have routing issues???
I noticed over the weekend that I wasn't reeiving any email, Last email received on Saturday evening.
Now tried webmail and can confirm that no mail being received or sent.
Hopefully someone from TT can help here.

Since my winge yesterday about not being able to send emails but receive them I logged onto my emails this via webmail and found I had received three emails from myself at around 9.51am when I was nowhere near a computer. The subject was on the emails was test, test2 & test3. I can only assume a talktalk engineer sent from my email to test if I could send emails. I can think of no other way how they could be sent from my account. So it would appear I can send emails to myself, not sure why I would do that, but I still cannot send an email to next door never farther a field. Please help talktalk before you drive me over the edge

If you are using webmail abroad, you will be able to recieve emails but you will not be able to send them. This will be for all 1 million customers.
Talktalk apparently don't support this, and their recommendation is that you use another email service provider such as yahoo or hotmail.
Apparently as part of your telecoms package you don't pay for your emails despite the fact that they let you create up to 5 email addresses, and the first question you get asked is if you have tried your email through Webmail.

Please can you help - I am beyond being annoyed and seeking help via talking to someone at Talktalk is just useless. I have a tiscali account which I have had for years and which has been working perfectly well until 12th November. I must add that this has been my main email address and therefore you can appreciate all my main communications are via this route. So I eventually rang Talktalk because I couldnt access my email on web mail or via my mac. I knew I had not changed my password. In addition the address did not appear on our account list (however my husbands did). I have rung three times now and am no nearer a solution - they juyst tell me that the address has been removed from the server!!!!! How can they do that? Why cant I get Talktalk to sort it out. I was expecting a call today, was told I would hear back by 5pm - nothing.... I am at a loss as will be missing so many important emails. What else can I do? Any help gratefully received. TinaTis
Can someone tell us why clients receive the following bounce back? Is this based on the sending domain or IP? Is this due to user complaints? We have 2 UK clients that continue to receive the below bounce back, both using their own sending domain.

Never seen this before. I'm trying to send an email to around 20 addresses, plus one 'cc' and one 'bcc' (to myself).

We are currently experiencing issues sending emails to all talktalk and tiscali email addresses. All emails are being bounced with error "Sender Domain Invalid (TT403) (in reply to MAIL FROM command)".
This appeared to start around 16:30 yesterday.
Our DNS, including SPF records, are all present and correct.
This is the first time I have posted, but having a problem and need some help. I had the message, when trying to login to my TalkTalk webmail, that my account had been disabled, which turned out to be because I hadn't used it in a long while. I eventually got this account reactivated, but when I login (which works every time) I get no emails come up, and it says under the "Check for new mail" button "Could not connect to the specified mail server. Please check your account settings." anyone know why this is, as there are some emails I know have been sent that I cannot get to. It's getting a bit frustrating now, as even when, to try out the address, send an email to it, I get the MAILER-DAEMON@yahoo.com (using my yahoo account to send) saying it could not be delivered.
Just received an email from TalkTalk recommending we use IMAP/SSL on both inbound and outbound servers. I am using Outlook 2016 on my desktop.
So deleted my old POP account (phew I backed it up!!!) added a new IMAP account and tried setting SSL on both.
Inbound worked with the following settings:
Incoming Mail Server: mail.talktalk.net
Port 993
Use SSL
However Outbound would not and I had to revert it to TLS or Auto to get it working (port 587)
Any suggestions? Do we need to use SSL on outbound?

I am a returning customer to TalkTalk, and My Account was still active where I had four webmail addresses.
I reset the password on one of them and could log in, one of the others I knew the password, but the remaining two I didn't know so I reset the passwords.
When I try to log in using these two addresses, I get the error message
Login is disabled because there is an issue with your account. Please contact support to resolve the issue.
I used the online chat to contact TalkTalk, and they passed it to technical support who text me to say they had fixed it, but it is still the same.
I decided to create a new webmail address, but when I log in using that one I get the error
Invalid username or password, please try again.
No matter hown many times I change the password, it still gives me this error.
Any help would be appreciated.
