Email turned off without warning

So I had an account with Tiscali many years ago and then switched to BT - I was so used to using the .tiscali.co.uk email I carried on for what must be nigh on 8 years now.

All of my financial information from various companies comes through that account and I have personal & business information stored.

I have spoken both to the CHAT and Technical Support team and all I keep getting is that I am not a customer so have no right to expect free email and refuse to do anything.

OK I get that but to turn it off with no warning and deny me the chance too recover (and delete) my personal information before doing so seems pretty unlawful to me.

So any ideas how to get through to TalkTalk and have it re-instated for a few days t o do just that. I can then redirect all my business elsewhere.

I'm sure there must be something - considering approaching OFTEL for their take on thiks

when i try get a message please contact support.

so far i`ve changed my password as advised by the faq but now i`m stuck.

Cannot login to lineone email

I seem to be having the same problem as a lot of people on here.

My lineone email account will not log via an email client just says 'sign in falied' can't log in via the web page 'invalid username or password' the forgotten password link does not work and hasn't for awhile. I'm not a TalkTalk customer so can't get anyone to talk to me on the phone. Tried live chat and just got a link to here, sent to me. Has something gone very wrong and TalkTalk are not telling us?? Please help us!!!!

tiscali email failure

For last 2 days have been unable to login with Tiscali. Had a pay as you go account years ago but do not remember details so cannot change password. Have tried 2 different browsers - chrome and internet explorer and two different internet providers T mobile dongle and cloud Wifi. Thankfully can get in via web2mail, but not nice when i might want to print ot boarding passes etc.

Have to say the webmail service has pretty much settled down after the initial problems following the supposed upgrade. The biggest bug now is when I want to delete a few e mails it would be good to simply tick the left hand boxes and then delete the lot in one go. sadly if I'm not careful to tick the box right in the middle the e mail opens and I can only delete the one and have to resrart my ticking. ok I should be more accurate but old people have shaky hands maybe.

Scam or real email saying service about to be disconnected

Have just received an email supposedly from Talktalk saying they can't process our bill because some of our details are not up to date. There is a link to update details or our service will be disconnected in 2 days, I have not clicked on it. The my account page on the website is unavailable so can't check there. Is this a scam?

Like allot of people I am having trouble accessing my Tiscali email account Smiley Sad

Have had a Tiscali account for over 20 years - Worked Tuesday 25th - now cannot access Saturday via PC or Web logon - Error emai and/or passwordSmiley Sad Tried the Talk -Talk chat help - they suggested here, as they have no access
Can anyone help me access my account please, so I can atleast retrieve important emails and contact information - and transfer to another account?

After installing GMail in the setting up process on my new Google Pixel phone I cannot find a way to install Talktalk email as well. Is this possible and if so how? 


Tiscali mail no longer working

Hi all, I needhelp with my tiscali email. I haven't had any mail since  August but it's always accessed through my phone and ipad. All of the companies I deal with for my utility bills and friends and family use my tiscali mail and I am missing important emails regarding my household bills. I'm glad I found this thread as I too was ready to head to ofcom. I have used my mail for years with no problems, I recently thought it must be because I haven't changed my password so I did that with no problem but still no mail whatsoever. Please help someone.

Some sent mail emails not being received when using French ISP

When I visit France I have access to  the  Orange France  ISP service. I receive emails into my Windows Mail Account OK but have to change my WM  outgoing server settings to smtp.orange.fr in order to send emails.

This seems to work OK for the majority  of emails but  I get an "undeliverable" message form a couple of recipients. After checking with the recipients by other means they confirm that the emails have not been received. Perhaps more seriously, I have established with another recipient  that their emails were not received but I did not receive any notification that  this was the case.

My WM account is set to  IMAP. 

I have found that by sending  directly from webmail, the problems do not arise.

However I prefer to use my WM account for managing my emails. 

Please can you advise how to eliminate these issues.  so I can use WM with confidence  when in France.

Can someone please assist in changing my secondary Tiscali email address password.

I have signed in and there is no way to change it.I have tried the "reset password link" - unavailable.

Someone here managed to do my primary one and I then asked for help with the 2nd.

No response.

I now believe this one has been hacked as my e mails are appearing as read already.

This is urgent as I dont want to go through the problems I had last time my original was hacked.

Talktalk email blocking incoming mail with pdf attachments

We are a small business and email our customers and suppliers with PDF/A attachments.  These are not getting through to GMAIL customers.  Is there anyone we can email  with an example and they can explain what the problem is with the attachments, and why they are blocking them, or ieally, unblock theme.  The documents are invoices and purchase orders.

We do not get any rejection messages and when we trace the message it has got as far as the talktalk server.  From there it disappears into thin air.  This is causing our company major issues.  Please help

Wrong emails delivered to mailbox

I have received a number of emails in my mail box that have an email recipient address that is nothing to do with me, I did try to report this to Talktalk but did not get anywhere so gave up. Does anyone have sugestions of how this can happen? and should I be worried.

Yesterday, I lost the ability to send or receive virgin.net emails, although talktalk. net emails have been unaffected.

 

Outgoing error message:

 

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.virgin.net', Server: 'smtp.virgin.net', Protocol: SMTP, Port: 465, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

 

Incoming error message:

 

The connection to the server has failed. Account: 'mail.virgin.net', Server: 'pop.virgin.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 995, Secure(SSL): Yes, Socket Error: 10060, Error Number: 0x800CCC0E

 

Please advise how I can restore virgin.net emails.

 


Unable to access two old Lineone email accounts

Hi, i also have the login/password problem on two old lineone accounts and haven't been able to use one for about a month and the other for about two weeks now.

These accounts no longer show in my account ( and have not done for several years) so I am unable to mange them via that route and the webmail service does not recognise the email addresses either but i have always accessed then via Microsoft Outlook with no problems until now.

 

I have updated my profile with all the information I believe you rerquire to raise a fault ticket for me.

Group e-mails

I am using Windows Live Mail and cannot send an E-mail to a group of addresses, up to 45 addresses. The message goes into the outbox but no further and does not go into the sent box. Never happend before until a couple of months ago. Error message as follows:-

Email notifications for community forum

Since the new look community forum has been in place I have stopped getting email notifications for topics I'm subscribed to. I've checked my notification settings in my profile and they're still the same as they were before when I was getting notifications. I had it set to send me emails in a daily digest, but changed it to immediately a couple of days ago when the daily digest wasn't arriving. I've had replies to subscriptions but I'm still not getting email notifications. The only way I know that I've had a reply is to log in to the forum and see that there are notifcations at the top of the page. What's gone wrong?

white square appears after sending e-mail

After sending an e-mail, I get a white square in the centre of my screen, confirming it has been sent. Althoiugh there is an 'OK' button, it does take a while before the square disappears. Cannot it be located elaswhere or, prefereably, got rid of altogether?

There are numerous posts and mine is the same. Since last week I have been unable to loginto my old old lineone email that I've used for years and can not reset the password via talktalk or webmail.

 

I need urgent access, the system has clearly reset all user passwords which is not good.  There must be access to these accounts as they have been taken over and taken over
