My worldonline.co.uk email account has not been working correctly since October 11th 2015. At first no email at all was being received, however after a couple of weeks, my emails started to arrive again, however the address information is not correct.
The full addressee details are not being passed on, so whereas I would use valid email addresses :-
grampe@my_account_id.worldonline.co.uk
mum@my_account_id.worldonline.co.uk
tom@my_account_id.worldonline.co.uk
richard@my_account_id.worldonline.co.uk
harry@my_account_id.worldonline.co.uk
and these would be received OK, using the address format shown above, all mail sent to any of the above is now received as
my_account_id@worldonline.co.uk
I called Talk Talk support, but unfortunately they did not seem to be aware that the worldonline email is administered by Talk Talk as I was asked, "Who provides the worldonline email account".
Eventually, following a number of calls, an incident record was logged. I have since then received a number of text messages stating that my line has been checked and all is OK, please check the browser being used. I see no reason to suspect the line or browser at all as :-
Local Internet connection works fine
Local Talk Talk email works fine
Worldonline email account can be accessed from IE, chrome and safari (on different devices)
Worldonline email account can be accessed from several different locations (ISPs), including Talk Talk, BT and Virgin media.
Based upon my experience (listed above), and that of others posting here, I conclude that this is a problem with the worldonline.co.uk domain; something customers have no control over whatsoever. Talk Talk took responsibility for this domain when they aquired Tiscali (who had previously aquired Worldonline).
Please can somebody within the Talk Talk network team look into this matter which I suspect is affecting many/all worldonline.co.uk email users receiving email?
