sometime - not always - when i hit send/receive in outlook 2007 it downloads duplicates of some of my most recent emails (up to 3 or 4 of each at the moment).
Last week it started downloading several thousand emails that were still on the server and I had to cancel out of the send/receive process.
I deleted a couple of thousand emails from my server using webmail but there are still a few thousand left. I would have thought outlook would still be trying to download all those too but sometimes it only downloads new emails and sometimes around 30 or so duplicates. I'm mystified as to whats going on and how to fix it.
Other symptoms are:
if i send myself a test email from either outlook or webmail it can take hours to arrive or not at all
Sometimes it takes a loooong time to log in to webmail (5 mins or so) before the interface is displayed (although I get the talktalk header straight away).
I'm currently using pop3 with the option to remove delelted items from the server on my main laptop but no action on my second laptop. As I'm using 2 pcs and a smartphone I need to leave messages on the server.
Does anyone have any ideas to help me? Please...
