I have an old ukgateway.net account, which suddenly stopped working with email clients (though it still works with webmail). After following the issues reported by many other customers (thanks guys, those have been helpful 
), it appears that the underlying problem is that my old password no longer meets tightened security requirements, and the solution is to change the password.
I would like to change my password in order to improve security (and then to reconfigure my email clients). After following all of the online guidance and links in several threads in this community, I seem to be in a catch-22 situation where I can't link my old ukgateway account to my current talktalk account because the password isn't secure enough, but I can't change the password unless I link it to my current talktalk account.
Tech support on the phone says they can't access the account to force a password reset, but surely there must be a system administrator somewhere who can do this?
From other messages in this forum, it appears there is an operator called Karl who knows how to get round this. Karl, are you there and can you help?
