As a customer who is also experiencing email delays I phoned the help line to see what the problem is (given there is little information being posted here or in the help section of the website).
I asked that they post an update on the website help section and the community forums - apparently the telephone team cannot get this done! They can only make suggestions to the other teams (so no-one owns the idea of a simple suggestion from a customer). Who else can see the problem of passing the buck and issues dropping between the chasms (it would be a tad unfair to call them cracks)?
Apparently it's been a network incident that they have been trying to resolve over the past 4 days. An initial investigation has been completed and a fix applied which they are looking at to see whether it resolves the problem. Apparently extra servers have been installed and the 'load balancer' functionality problem resolved. There is no specific time to resolve as it remains 'under investigation'.
Perhaps they are wanting enough of the customers to leave so that the load balancing and capacity in the system is reduced to a level that will actually work???
