During the breaches last year I opted to sign up with "Noddle" to protect myself ??? .
Today I had my first "ALERTS" from them saying that 2 of my email addresses had been used on a site and I was to carry out the instructions as written in the prompt list on their web site.. ie the usual change all passwords etc then do the following :-
- Contact your email/Internet provider to ensure that no additional email accounts have been set-up, without your knowledge. If bogus accounts have been set-up, let the provider know that they are fraudulent and ask for them to be deleted.
- Ask your email/Internet provider if you can add a security or password phrase so that no-one except you, can access your account information by calling your provider without your knowledge.
Simple you would think ! No not with T/T, so I contacted TT, explained to the best of my ability what I was requesting and got nowhere after speaking to two people whose English was a dashed sight worse than mine I gave up for a break then tried again, First person sounded very helpful but passed me over to another person but whose grasp of the language was poor.
She then said as the alerts came from Noddle they cannot help me with the above underlined instructions as they dont handle security even although I asked to be transferred to them (Silly me !!! when they transferred me I thought it was to security.
She said" we dont have or need a security section now that the upgraded system that has been installed" and we cannot check your account details so go to Noddle and they will sort it all out.
After 20 minutes or so of VERY polite trying to get info I gave up ! she gave me a tel no for Noddle and hung up !!!!!!
Wow!!!!!! Customer Care at its very best ????????
