I recently changed my talktalk password, but logging in it automatically uses old password

I recently had to change my talktalkemail password. My desktop automatically brings up my email address and password, unfortunately it keeps bringing up my old password and I have to then delete and re enternew password mqanually. How an I get it to forget old password and remember new - even tho I hve ticked the remember me box?!
