I have now noticed that I can only access 2 pages of previous messages & older ones are now missing.

I have recently noticed that I can now only access 2 pages of recent previous e-mails in my inbox but have lost all the older ones (some important).  This is also puzzling as my husband can still access all his older ones but we are on the same Talktalk account.  Any suggestions to restore them, or possible explanations would be much appreciated.  Thanks.
