I have 3 tiscali and 1 lineone email account that I access for Apple Mail on imac.
Whilst I am unable to send emails at any time of day, for about a month or more now emails will only download once a day, (sometimes it's more than a day). At all other times there's an exclamation mark next to each account and when I click on these the following message is returned:
There may be a problem with the mail server or network. Verify the settings for account “XXXXX” or try again.
The server returned the error: Mail was unable to connect to server “pop.tiscali.co.uk” using SSL on the default ports. Verify that this server supports SSL and that your account settings are correct.
As I say the emails do eventually come through but it is very inconvenient and annoying. I note from these forums that many others have similar problems. Is something being done to rectify this?
