I accessed my email successfully on the afternoon of the cyber-attack and was using 'My Account' to set up a second email address when problems began. I sent a test email to the new address, logged out and went to another computer to see if the email had arrived. The new address/password repeatedly got the message that 'the address or password wasn't recognised'. I couldn't access My Account after that, and i couldn't access my email, also getting the message 'the address or password wasn't recognised'. It is now a week later and I still can't access my email despite the TalkTalk website saying webmail is working normally - it isn't for me. I rang customer services at the weekend - the person answering knew less than I did, was very vague and murmered about 'maybe the password got changed ......... to protect you' and 'lots of people are having problems with their email'. Well there is nothing about accessing email on the website or problems. I can't get into My Account' to change the password - it's been down for a WEEK. There is important stuff in my email - is someone else accessing it with a new pass word? using it to access other services and financial sites I use? ordering stuff from all over the planet? causing havoc?
