I have a virgin.net email address and since this afternoon I have not been able to send emails. I can receive emails OK though.
I use Outlook and have double checked all my account settings as follows:
IMAP: imap4.virgin.net
SMTP: smtp.virgin.net
Ports 992 and 465 over SSL respectively.
It keeps asking me for my password which I know is correct because I can login to the webmail at www.virginmedia.com without any problems.
In Outlook when I got to Test Account Settings it says email server rejected your login.
I can ping smtp.virgin.net without any problems.
I tried talking to TalkTalk customer services but they weren't much help. They said they would send me an email with some instructions on what to do but the link in the email they sent doesn't work!!!
Please help!!!
