My wife and I have two Talktalk(TT) email addresses set up using POP3, and pulling emails into Thunderbird, leaving them for a short period on the TT server in case we needed to look at something we had deleted on Thunderbird.
Until late February this worked perfectly, when my email address was moved to the new look Webmail.
Then, like so many people, I started getting duplicates though my wife's address continued to work perfectly.
I switched off the option to leave a copy on the TT server because it wasn't worth the hassle.
I have now setup two Gmail addresses and will migrate all the contacts, etc to them over the remaining period of the contract, taking advantage of the TT compensation for the last shambles.
Then we leave Talktalk.
Do you really want to continue to deal with a "service provider" who doesn't communicate? Who makes a change which causes a problem for thousands of customers without acknowleging their problem? Who makes a change to a system which was working perfectly but suggests the customet is doing something unsuitable when it stops working? Who doesn't post the current status of the issue? Who categorically state in their website not to change from POP3 to IMAP if you have set the address up like that, while "Community Stars" are advocating change?
Sorry Talktalk - too much for me to take and, I hope, for an awful lot more people.
