I use windows mail to send/receive emails and for several years it has worked fine. Recently, it started to take a long time to download the first mail, then it behaved as normal. Now however, it is PERMANENTLY downloading the first mail, which means I cannot send or receive. I telephoned Talktalk for advice and was told to change port (server) numbers, which I did. For one day service was back to normal, but has now returned to permanently downloading. The new settings work fine on my laptop (also using windows live mail) so why do I have a problem with my desktop using exactly the same settings?
