Well what can I say, I've been hit by TalkTalk's latest total screw-up.
First off about a month ago Outlook (2003) suddenly redownloaded the ENTIRE content of inbox from TalkTalk's servers as new unread emails (several thousand). If it wasn't for the fact that on this occasion the most recent also appeared on my Windows phone as unread I would have suspected Outlook, but this said it was the server.
Tonight everything was ok, at least as ok as TalkTalk email is every (!), until Outlook suddenly downloaded 2400+ existing emails as new unread ones. I deleted them, then a short while later, it happened again but this time only 1409. I deleted those, then it happened again, the same 1409.
So I went into webmail and deleted all but the last couple of months (about 300) - what a monumental pain in the behind that was due to the uttterly UNFIT FOR PURPOSE and GARBAGE webmail.
A short while later, 300 "new" (but actually old) unread emails arrived. I deleted them, then another short while later, the same thing.
So OCEs, what the hell is going on?
