Tiscali users. From the horses mouth...

Hi BillBar1,

We do recommend you use the email services provided by your current ISP, as some legacy accounts may be closed due to possibly being used to send increased levels of spam emails.

Thanks

Karl.

The above was a message I received from talktalk...

So. It seems that talktalk are actually discriminating against legacy account holders.

People who were sold out by their ISPs  to talktalk.

People who were quite happy with their current ISP, but were sold out anyway.

People who had email accounts with their current ISP.

I would also like to know where they get the information that legacy account holders are responsible for increased levels of "spam."

Surely, when a company buys out another ISP. They then take on all the responsibilites from that ISP.  If people don't want to go with talktalk because they know it's a rubbish company. It still shouldn't preclude them from being able to use their emails. Some of which have been in use for years.

Talktalk bought the company. They also bought the responsibility.

To suddenly scrap peoples emails, some of which go back over 15 years. Just because they (talktalk) got hacked because of their appalling security, just doesn't ring right.

Tiscali users didn't cause the "hack. Talktalk security (lack of) caused the hack.

To now find that Tiscali users, who are not actually subscribed to talktalk, are now being told that their accounts are being deleted, is a travesty.

If we had known that talktalk were going to "take their ball home."  Then we could have taken steps to ensure that we copied information from our accounts.

I really think that talktalk are proving themselves to be the biggest bunch of conniving, self serving, hypocritical, back-stabbing, double dealing reprobates, (believe me. I am really trying to be politically correct here.) I have ever had the misfortune to come across.

I am also quite perturbed that talktalk have ignored so many posts from people that are Tiscali email account holders, just because they don't actually use talktalk as their broadband provider.

To be quite honest. After all the problems that have gone on in the recent months would anybody blame us?  I feel sorry for anyone that has a pay for service account with talktalk. Personaly, I wouldn't pay them with milk bottle caps...
